Coronavirus death roll in the UK hit pass 40,000, making them the worst in Europe

The number of Coronavirus death in the UK is now the highest in the whole of Europe as it hit pass 40,000.

A statement by The National Statistics said on Tuesday that 35,044 involving Covid-19 were registered in England and Wales up to May 9.

So far Scotland has 2795 coronavirus deaths from May 3, and Northern Ireland, 516 deaths had been registered so far since May 6.

The shocking new figures from the Office for National Statistics(ONS) have also revealed that almost 40% of deaths are in care homes. From May 1st till date there were 8312 Coronavirus deaths in care homes in England and Wales.

From the statistics, the UK is the worst affected country in Europe. Italy has recorded 30,739 deaths, Spain 26,744, France 26,604 and Germany has recorded 7661 according to Johns Hopkins University.
